Worried about the returning/exchanging of individual components, so didn't go that route.

Considered DIY and got great suggestions for a build. More concerned about return policy than anything else. Loved the Tempur Adapt hybrid but have had a bad experience with the off-gassing, so didn't want one. Tested out lots of mattresses at a local store to figure out what feel we preferred. Do not like the feel of latex, have, in the past, been really happy with an IKEA hybrid that, sadly, broke down too quickly.
